This was the best summer to date for Camp Edge. Campers’ hearts were open to the gospel and we were able to see life changes in inner city kids previously destined for trouble.
The surrounding communities are realizing we offer camps for all area children and the word is spreading. Local parents who enrolled their children are telling us their kids are reading the Bibles they were given and reciting songs they learned.
Besides our annual Law Enforcement Camp, we again offered a Special Needs Camp for individuals with Downs Syndrome, and a one-day Grief Camp in conjunction with South Jersey Healthcare-Hospice Care. And, as always, the overnight and day camps were filled with water activities, gross games, extreme challenges, and crazy camp staff.
On another note, after the Camp Edge Office burned down over 18 months ago, we finally moved into our new building; a feat not easily accomplished without many man hours by our friends. Thank you all!
Every year we depend on God’s prompting for independent giving and volunteers to make camp a success. If you’d like to get involved with the Camp Edge Auxiliary or volunteer your time, please call us at (856) 935-1555 x172, or email us at campedgeteam@aol.com.
