CONTINUING THE ANNUAL FUND
The annual operating budget of Ranch Hope is $9.5 million. Of this amount, 9 to 10 percent comes from philanthropic gifts each year. In addition to gifts from individuals, support for the Ranch comes from foundations, corporations and churches.
Annual gifts support regular operations of the Ranch and maintenance of the physical plant. These funds also help provide scholarships to support private refferals; help support camp programs and other activities for the children; and help close the gap between reimbursements and the real costs of treatment programs. The current goal for the Annual Fund portion of the Hope for the Future campaign is $2 million.
Donations also allow Ranch Hope to provide additional services to the youth it serves, such as:
- Full and Part-Time Chaplain positions
- Team and Individual Sport Opportunities
- Equestrian instruction, Scouting, Choir, Drama Team and 4-H Club
- Adventure-based Programs at Camp Edge
- Field Trips and Other Educational Opportunities
- Scholarship to the Ranch and to Graduates for College
INCREASING THE ENDOWMENT
Ranch Hope's Endowment is now a modest $500,000. To help provide for the future, the Board of Managers has set an endowment goal of $1 million to be raised during the Hope for the Future campaign. There are a number of ways donors can contribute to the Ranch Hope Endowment that not only supports its ministry, but provides tax benefits to the donor as well.
GIVE WITH CONFIDENCE
Ranch Hope spends only 9 percent of its revenue on administration and 0.5 percent fundraising. That means fully 90.5 percent of the donations received support programs and services that help make a better future for the young people served by Ranch Hope.
Ranch Hope is a registered 501(c)3 charity within the State of New Jersey and is governed by a volunteer Board of Managers. The Board consists of leaders from various industries and persons concerned with the welfare of children and their families. Ranch Hope is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and adheres to the "Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice" as set forth by this national organization.
