Current Ministry Opportunities

Residential Alloway Campus

  • Direct Care Counselor – Work with other members of the treatment team to provide direct basic client care, supervision, instruction, behavior modification, recreation and other individual/group services to youth in a structured setting. All services provided will promote the emotional, spiritual & social growth of our youth and will emphasize positive, professional role modeling as well as interpersonal relationships.
  • Night Proctor – These direct care staff also serve in our treatment homes similar to houseparents, but they work mainly during non-awake hours (11PM-9AM). Candidates must be over 21 and have at least one year of work or volunteer experience with youth in a group setting. The starting rate for these positions is between $10-12/hour and there are full time, part time, and on-call schedules available.


Williamstown Shelter

  • Direct Care Counselor – Work with other members of the treatment team to provide direct basic client care, supervision, instruction, behavior modification, recreation and other individual/group services to youth in a structured setting. Food Service

  • Cook – Prepare and serve nutritious high-quality meals to students and staff. Assist with catering program. Range is $ 13 to $ 16 based on skills and experience.


Maintenance

  • Maintenance / Grounds Keeper – Daily custodial responsibilities to include vacuuming, mopping, emptying trash, and dusting furniture, baseboards and light fixtures Clean and sanitize restrooms on a daily basis to include thorough cleaning of all toilets, urinals, trash receptacles, basins, baseboards and floors General grounds maintenance to include sweeping sidewalks, porches and cleaning up refuse Clean up debris around dumpster Assist with recycling to include sorting and placing recyclables in proper receptacle and breaking down cardboard boxes Light maintenance responsibilities to include changing light bulbs and tubes Strip, buff and wax floors Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties. Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower. Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others. Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth. Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling. Sweep walkway of debris. Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. Trim shrubs and pull weeds. Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.

Strang School

  • Substitute Teacher – Substitute Teachers will provide classroom support on behalf of the teacher or paraprofessional. Will use Nurtured Heart Approach to assist students in developing inner wealth, proactively respond to crisis situations and provide students with curriculum support as needed. The rate for this position is $ 95 per day.
  • Teacher Assistant – These school staff work in our classrooms to provide assistance to our teaching staff by helping deliver lesson plans and assisting in managing classroom behaviors. Candidates must have 60 college credits and either a NJ substitute teacher certification or a paraprofessional praxis. The salary for these positions is $18,500 annually.


Activities

  • Lifeguard – Provide pool and waterfront lifeguard services at Alloway Campus and Camp Edge.


Clinical Services

  • Therapist – Position Summary: Support the Core Values of Ranch Hope by upholding all standards relating to quality, partnership, integrity, safety, empowerment, stewardship and compassion. Under supervision of the Clinical Director, work with other members of the treatment team to provide clinical treatment to youth. All services provided will promote the emotional, spiritual & social growth of our youth and will emphasize positive, professional role modeling as well as interpersonal relationships.

Thrift Store

  • Thrift Store Truck Driver – The Ranch Hope Cowtown Thrift Store is hiring a full time driver to assist in the pick up of donations made to our two stores. This will require excellent communication skills in dealing with our generous donors. Contact donors to schedule pick-ups Identify pick up routes Obtain needed signatures and paperwork from donors Maintain accurate paperwork for entry to our donor database Forward paperwork to Development Office Move furniture in stores and warehouse Drive a forklift Operate a baler To qualify for this position you must be able to lift heavy furniture and other household objects, possess a valid NJ Driver License, forklift driving certificate and have great interpersonal skills.
