Kimon DeShields
Ranch Hope proudly recognizes Kimon DeShields, Assistant Residential Director, for his dedicated service to our country and his long-standing commitment to our mission. Kimon has been part of the Ranch Hope family since 2001, bringing over two decades of care and leadership to our youth. Before joining Ranch Hope, Kimon served in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1993 as a Dragon Gunner in Infantry 0351. He rode in the back of HumVs and was stationed in both North and South Carolina, playing a vital role in ground combat operations. We are grateful for Kimon’s service and proud to have him as part of our team.
Christopher Johnson
Ranch Hope proudly honors Christopher Johnson, Direct Care Counselor, for his service in the United States Navy and his dedication to our youth since joining Ranch Hope in 2016. Christopher served from 2003 to 2008 as a Machinist Mate, completing basic training at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. He was stationed aboard the USS George Washington, deployed during the Iraqi War of Freedom, spending up to eight months at sea at a time. One of his favorite parts of serving was the opportunity to travel and see the world, with Dubai being a highlight of his journey. We are grateful for Christopher’s service and the strength and care he brings to Ranch Hope every day.
Gail Nazarene
Ranch Hope proudly honors Gail Nazarene, Training Manager, for her service in the United States Navy Reserves and her commitment to our mission since joining Ranch Hope in 2024. Gail served as a Navy Reservist for 12 years, with deployments to various locations throughout her career. She is deeply proud to have served her country and to represent One Nation Under God as an American. We are thankful for Gail’s service and the passion and leadership she brings to Ranch Hope every day.
Stephanie Scott
Ranch Hope proudly honors Stephanie Scott, Human Resources Manager, for her distinguished service in the United States Navy and her continued dedication to our mission since joining Ranch Hope in 2020. Stephanie served from 1985 to 1998 as an Electrician, with assignments that took her to Cuba, the submarine base in Connecticut, and finally to Norfolk, Virginia. She served aboard the USS Vulcan and the USS Emory S. Land and especially cherished her time at sea. We are deeply grateful for Stephanie’s years of service and the strength, skill, and heart she brings to Ranch Hope every day.
Randolph Summiel
Ranch Hope proudly honors Randolph Summiel, Night Proctor Supervisor, for his dedicated military service and his long-standing commitment to our youth. Randolph has been a valued member of the Ranch Hope team since 2002. He began his military career in the United States Army, serving in the 25th Infantry Division from 1985 to 1988 as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator. He continued his service in the National Guard from 1988 to 1992, including during Operation Desert Storm, contributing to vital communications operations. We are grateful for Randolph’s service and the leadership he brings to Ranch Hope every day.
